Perfume is a language
It has been scientifically proven that the olfactory sense aka smell is closely linked with memory, more so than any other senses. Scents evoke particular memories. It can often happen spontaneously, with a smell acting as a trigger for recollection of a long-forgotten event or experience.
As a perfumer once said: perfumes are highly personal, you are advised to try a scent before purchasing a full bottle of any perfume. Perfumes react and change with your body’s chemistry to create a unique personalised fragrance experience. Perfumes often smell very differently when they are contained in bottles and when they have been applied onto your skin and mixed with your natural body chemistry.
